Megan and Andy’s fall wedding at Parkers Garage and Oyster Saloon was full of beautiful fun details. We planned a gorgeous beach front ceremony at the Pearl Street Pavilion and celebrated the night away at Parkers. Their wedding guests enjoyed some of the most amazing food Long Beach Island has to offer and to top it all off, their night ended with fireworks! They got to enjoy them, along with their sweet dog, Murphy!
Meg and Andy first reached out to me for wedding planning when they had a ceremony at the Barnegat Lighthouse in mind. In fact, for the first few months of planning, that is what we were planning. But, change of events! The lighthouse underwent a major restoration and was covered in black scaffolding and the park had chainlink fence and construction materials throughout. It was clear, that it was not what Meg and Andy had in mind as the backdrop for their big day. In in act of fate, it turned out that the Pearl Street Pavilion was available for their wedding date. So, we pivoted (can I still use that term?). Plans were revamped for a ceremony at the Pavilion, only a few blocks away from Parkers Garage and Oyster Saloon.
Another really important element of Andy and Meg’s planning was including their dog, Murphy. I knew the second I heard his name, that we were gonna love one another. (fun fact: My niece’s dog is named Murphy and he’s one of my favs!). Murphy has a spacial place in Meg and Andy’s hearts and they were able to include them in both the ceremony and reception plans, even placing his dog bead in front of their sweetheart table. Scroll on down, and check it out. Take note of the stunning sunset view behind the couple during their toasts and as they enjoyed dinner at Parkers Garage and Oyster Saloon with their guests.
After the ceremony ended, Meg & Andy took a moment to themselves on a short boat ride (with Murphy) from The Queen City Marina to Parkers Garage and Oyster Saloon. The boat even had a custom set of tin cans hanging from the stern. The reception was filled with hand-made details created by the bride, including place cards on shells and a perfect set for the bride & groom.
In fact, I can’t think of too many wedding days that come together as perfectly as the day did for these two. The gorgeous early October beach day. The beautiful sunset. The perfect ending to the night: fudge and fireworks!
