Liz and Kevin first reached out to me with plans to get married and have a Hotel LBI Wedding Reception on Long Beach Island. When I asked them (I ask all my couples) why they selected LBI, their answer came in two simple parts: First, Kevin grew up vacationing every summer in LBI with his family, so it holds a special place in his heart. While dating, Liz spent time on LBI enjoying family time with Kevin’s family and quickly began to understand why Kevin cherishes his island time so much. Second, they both find the water very relaxing and calming, so having the beach, deep blue sea, and a family-friendly town as the location for their wedding a simple decision to make.

Liz and Kevin met on the NYC dating scene, which means the world of online dating via mobile apps. They both worked in tech industries and led busy lives, but after matching on Hinge went on a first date only two days later. The rest is history! When Kevin decided it was time to ask Liz to spend the rest of their lives together, he knew LBI was the place to do it. While planning together, Liz and Kevin (and their Bernedoodle, Banjo), spoke often of their excitement over the big day. Liz envisioned a day full of gorgeous blue and white details with small pops of yellow. Kevin was looking forward to the party with their amazing band, Barnstorm. In their end, their design for the ceremony and sweetheart table is one of my all-time favorites. And fun fact: Their band is from my hometown of Maplewood, NJ. It was so much fun planning with the guys and talking about all the cool things I remember from growing up there!
