Casey and Pat’s LBI Yacht Club Wedding last fall at the Little Egg Harbor and the end result was, for sure, the stunning. I thought it was fitting, as we approach their first anniversary, to relive the day!
Casey & Pat’s LBI Yacht Club Wedding design left no corner untouched. I think my favorite feature was their floral installation created by Lily in the Valley Floral Design hanging over the dance floor. It was a show-stopper. And one of the best parts was watching the vibe it gave off transition from daylight to night time! The couple also worked with Crisp Designs by Britt to create watercolor portraits of their cats, and incorporate into the Signature Drink signs. I knew that Casey and Pat’s kittens were going to play a VIP role in their LBI Yacht Club Wedding, when Casey first mentioned the kittens in the “Getting to Know You” questionnaire I sent her to kick off planning. I send it to every couple at the beginning of the planning process. Casey mentioned that one of the things she was looking forward to most in married life “spending forever with Pat (and our two kittens) – he’s my best friend and I love doing life with him!” During the planning process I worked closely with Casey and Pat, but also Casey’s mom, April. Together we chose amazing invitation designs with beautiful deckled edges and wax seals. And the tablescape, complete with gorgeous florals, included custom place cards and table numbers from Karson & Co. (along with a STUNNING seating chart!). Please take a second to note the subtle homage to T. Swift, on the seating chart (if you know, you know). The green and white water goblets and the softest sage green linen napkin to tie it all together. Pair all of that with a mix of white farm tables from Rustic Drift! You have pure perfection.
I also ask all my couples why the chose Long Beach Island to tie the knot. Casey and Pat’s answer was simple. Pat proposed on the front porch of Casey’s parent’s home. They’d been coming to LBI for three years. They fell in love with LBI’s beaches, being together and being with family on the island. Pat planned the proposal for 5 months in cahoots with both his and Casey’s family. They tricked Casey into thinking they were going to happy hour with friends. Casey’s sister and best friend kept saying “let’s dress extra cute since we haven’t been out since COVID!” Casey came downstairs and Pat asked if he could talk to her on the porch and the rest is history. He had a photographer (Melanie Cassie!!) and his family came out from where they were hiding around the corner and we had a whole big celebration with both families, and celebrated with a wonderful dinner at Tucker’s Tavern!
