In honor of Alli and James’ first anniversary, I wanted to share with you a quick recap of their amazing Watermark wedding. Asbury Park, NJ is one of my favorite places. And when Alli called me a few months before her big day to help her with wedding day management I was so excited to be helping her and James plan their big day in one of the coolest places ever. If you think I’m kidding, I’m not. Asbury Park, NJ is super-cool. That’s where you’ll find the Pin Ball Museum. And where there are movies on the beach during the summer. It’s got some of the most amazing graffiti and murals anywhere! And then there’s the zombie walk…

Watermark Wedding

When Alli and James began to tell me their plans, I was so excited. Their day began at the Berkeley Waterfront Hotel (an Asbury Park, NJ staple) where they had their first look. Then they walked along the boardwalk with their bridal party to arrive at their reception. Check out the beautiful images captured by Lauren Schwarz Photography.

I remember very fondly Alli and James’ wedding day. I think I have never seen a groom so seriously excited to see his bride. I’ve seen tears. I’ve seen smiles. But James was all “Yeeeeeessssss!!!!” and first pumping! He was one seriously happy groom.

I love the wedding portraits the did with their bridal party while strolling down the Asbury Park boardwalk.

And of course, they stopped in the Pin Ball Museum!

Then there was the custom wood hand-lettered signage I created for them to use throughout their reception.

And of course, the donut bar!! The best donuts ever from Purple Glaze in Asbury Park, NJ

But I think my single most favorite moment was when Alli surprised James with a wedding day visit on the boardwalk from his “Best Dog” Rocky. It might be because I’m a dog lover. It might be because I knew Rocky fron his many Facebook posts. But I think it’s because he was just so stinkin’ cute and sweet while he was watching hi mom and dad’s Watermark wedding.
