Carly & Sean are planning a gorgeous Smithville Inn wedding for late September at the historic Smithville Inn in Absecon, NJ. Carly and I have known each other for years. She is an incredibly talented hair stylist and is the genius behind my curls. And my wedding day hair! As many of you ladies know, when you go to the salon it’s also an opportunity to hang out and chat with your stylist. And Carly and I have become friends over the years. I kept her up to date on my dating life and she was there getting the skinny on Richie when we first met. So when Carly told me that she had met a guy named Sean, who was really sweet, I suspected it was perhaps a little bit serious. This theory was confirmed when Sean stopped by the salon during one of my appointments to bring Carly lunch. So sweet and tall!

I was thrilled when they got engaged! I couldn’t have been happier, or more honored, when she asked if I could help her plan her wedding. When she started showing me things that she liked, I got really excited! Repeat after me: Rustic-Glam. Trust me, it’s going to be a thing! And when Carly told me she had chosen the Historic Smithville Inn, I was over the moon!

The Smithville Inn is part of Smithville Village. Its a lakeside destination in southern New Jersey full of cute shops and unique stores. You can eat at a number of restaurants or breweries, stay at the Inn, and shop. It has a small lake with remote control boats that you can rent, and fun little arcades. It’s a great place to go for a day trip or romantic getaway. The Inn has a beautiful historic feel. It’s filled with wooden beams and gorgeous fireplaces. It’s perfect for couples looking for great food and a beautiful rustic glamorous venue.

Another Reason I Can’t Wait for Carly & Sean to Tie the Knot!!

One reason I am super-excited for Carly and Sean’s wedding: Ashley Mac Photographs. Ashley is the same brilliant photographer who I had the pleasure of working with last September on Kathleen and Richard’s wedding (You know, the wedding where they sailed into their reception on a boat!).
