Last spring, Susan Elizabeth from Something Blue by Susan Elizabeth got in touch with me to see if I was interested in helping her to plan a rustic NJ farm wedding styled shoot at the Edel Haus Alpaca Farm. The Rustic NJ Farm Wedding Inspiration

I can ‘t even begin to tell you how much fun this shoot was to work on. Susan and I truly collaborated on the look, feel, and all the stunning details. Who doesn’t love calligraphic silk ribbons and rich jewel tones? The fall vintage inspiration included one of my all-time-favorite garage sale finds! Emerald green vintage hurricane lamps. I found them at my town-wide garage sale and scored them for $5! In fact, they were in a box that included 5 other hurricane lamps that I was able to fix up and use. Currently they reside on my mantle…just waiting for the power to go out.  Here they are incorporated into the tablescape.

The Edel Haus Alpaca Farm Rustic NJ Wedding Inspiration

On the tables I used vintage cranberry glass, Susan added stunning gold chargers, MT Farm Tables lent us a hand built farm table, and Ashley P from Pretty Things created a stunning garland runner! We chose gorgeous vintage-inspired wedding jewelry with emeralds from DeNatale Jewelry. Emerald green bridal shoes by Badgley Mischka are a nod to current bridal shoe trends, but with a jewel tone twist. One of my favorite things are incorporating trends in a slightly new way that also has a classic feel. These shoes, and (omg!) the dress, fit the bill with perfection.  Wait until you see the cake swing! Seriously, we suspended the cake from the barn balcony!

Just wait! Don’t scroll too quickly. Take your time and enjoy every crazy bit of it. And I wouldn’t blame you one bit if you chose to use one of those sweet alpaca shots as your screen saver.
