Earlier this spring I was approached by Something Blue by Susan Elizabeth to see if I was interested in helping her to plan an Edel Haus Alpaca Farm wedding photoshoot. She wanted to plan something full of autumn, vintage, and jewel tone elements. She had me at Alpacas. OMG, they are really fluffy! And despite what you might have hear they have to get really mad to spit. They are not as angry as llamas, who will spit more often. (Just on a side note: I can’t believe I know these things, lol!)
Susan and I had a blast planning this shoot. And together we worked to bring to the project an incredibly amazing team of wedding professionals. Today, I thought I would share a few of the behind the scenes details from the shoot. I can’t wait to share the entire photo shoot with you soon, but for now, just enjoy a few peaks from the day.
We had an incredible calligrapher and designer who created the calligraphy elements and invitation suite for this Edel Haus Alpaca Farm wedding photo shoot. Kelmade Goods was phenomenal and soooooo easy to work with! Kelly is a genius!
It takes a village to accomplish a styled shoot, and I could not have done it with out an amazing team. But my right arm all day long was my super-awesome assistant, Sophia. Here is Sophia, youtubing to learn how to tie a bowtie. That’s Mark, Susan (our brilliantly talented photographer’s husband). Mark very generously lent us his muscle and and extra set of hands, in addition to his awesome hand-built farm table!
One our last set-ups of the day involved a welcome station. Sophia and I worked to set it up twice! Why twice? Well, right after we set it up the first time, this happened (OMG! There was hail in that red area!!!)
Thankfully, the hail missed us, and the welcome station went back up without a hitch.
Number one, had to be this guy. G.T. was a total trooper. As were our models, Giana and Anthony. Although G.T. tried a number of times to eat the gorgeous bouquet (created by Pretty Things), Giana and Anthony kept laughing, they did not get spit on, and they had a blast. And the results… were so stunning!
