Last spring I had the privilege of planning a photo shoot designed to bring you some gorgeous Brant Beach Yacht Club wedding inspiration! This Brant Beach Yacht Club wedding inspiration was photographed in Long Beach Township, NJ on LBI. And today, it’s being featured here on the exclusive wedding blog, Rustic Wedding Chic! This shoot is full of beautiful wedding inspiration and was perfectly photographed by Alex Peterson at Idalia Photography! She’s a genius and was so much fun to work with on this! The shoot was inspired by the location. The Brant Beach Yacht Club is located on Barnegat Bay, and is one of the most beautiful locations on Long Beach Island to host a wedding.
The idea for this shoot came about very early on after the birth of BWE. In fact, Alex was an instrumental part of getting BWE off the ground, and when she suggested a styled shoot to assist in building my portfolio, I was like, “Um, yeah! Sounds awesome!” Then, I googled styled shoot. Oh! It was a great idea! It’s like planning a tiny wedding, in a fraction of the time! Many styled shoots take 4-6 months of planning and we tackled this one in 6 weeks. While Alex provided direction, it really gave me the opportunity to pull together a group of local vendors to design a look and feel that was my version of rustic beach elegance. Once we were able to bring aboard the Brant Beach Yacht Club, the rest was a lot easier.
After we had selected a venue, I reached out to one of my favorite invitation designers, Beacon Lane. In fact, they had done the invitations for my own wedding, and they were so sweet and creative. They designed us the most amazing custom invitation suite. I love their box sets, and with the flower insert, it was simply to die for. The overall effect was rustic, beachy (if that’s a word), and classically elegant. Once Alex worked her magic, the resulting photos were simply stunning, especially when you added in the jewelry from DeNatale Jewelers in Forked River, NJ. Lindsay Pantaleo’s hand lettered calligraphy added a touch of whimsical elegance to the invitation suite.
The rest of the shoots details fell into place after finding the perfect piece of coral to use as a cake topper. To this, Ann Marie from A Sweet Memory Cake Shoppe and Tea Room, in Forked River, added a sea glass candy design. The cake is one of the shoot’s show-stopping pieces.
The floral inspiration was a natural garden style, and Erica from Garden State Flower Market hit the nail on the head. The centerpieces, placed in wooden crates, surrounded by crystal elements created a beautiful mix of rustic and elegant. Perhaps a new wedding theme is emerging, rustic elegance…
I added wooden elements using custom signage designs to the table scapes and welcome area. Including a cute little wood plaques for the sweetheart table saying “Mr.” and “Mrs.” My favorite space to style that day was the welcome table that was full of fun drinks including a Jersey beer (with the perfectly coordinating label) and a lemonade stand with the opportunity to “spike” your drink with a little moonshine. Delish.
Last, we set-up the perfect Brant Beach Yacht Club wedding dessert table. I filled it with lots of homemade sweet treats, including my favorite, lemon cookies and a sugar cookie that looked like a sand dollar. I have to admit, I taste-tested, but only in an effort to maintain quality. Ya know??
A huge special thanks goes out to the amazing creative team that worked with me to pull together this wonderful feature. Without all of you, it never would have happened!
