A few weeks ago I had the privilege of providing Wedding Day Management for the Kenny Family as they celebrated the wedding of their son Michael and daughter-in-law, Aga at the Spray Beach Chapel and the Brant Beach Yacht Club. The wedding was a gorgeous affair. I can not wait to share their day with you in an upcoming blog post. In the meantime, the day was a reminder to me that the Spray Beach Chapel is one of my favorite ceremony venues on LBI. Today, I want to spotlight the Spray Beach Chapel.

The Spray Beach Chapel

The historic Spray Beach Chapel is located between 23rd and 24th Avenues in Spray Beach. Spray Beach is a tiny town just north of Beach Haven on LBI. You could drive through Spray Beach while holding your breath. The Spray Beach Chapel was probably built around 1898. At least that’s what the sign says and that’s when first records of the chapel appear in LBI’s history.

The inside of the chapel fits about 150 guests, but it is perfectly suited for ceremonies of 100 with smaller bridal parties. At a cost of $400, the space also makes a great back-up plan for those of you dreaming of a beach wedding, but want to have a “Plan B” in. are of bad weather. It’s also strategically located near Beach Haven’s wedding venues.

Why I Love the LBI Spray Beach Chapel Wedding Venue

First, the stained glass windows even feature the ocean and are meant to honor the traditions of the island and praying for those at sea.

And look how pretty they are during a ceremony.

Second, the front of the chapel and it’s traditional style and perfect “little wedding chapel” look. I also love how simply it can be decorated with florals to accent the lot and feel. Check out these florals by Lily in the Valley.
