Ashley and Drew knew as soon as they began working with me to plan their LBI engagement photography that the photos were going to include their favorite “person,” their dog Hachi. After all, it was while walking on the beach with Hachi last fall, that Drew proposed. They were so much fun to work with, and were up for anything! I can’t wait to see the results of their June 2019 wedding at the Mallard Island Yacht Club.

For their LBI engagement photography, we pulled together an amazing team of local LBI vendors. Ashley wanted a low-key style with soft colors and pretty flowers. She had her hair and makeup done at Lavish Salon, and chose a beautiful sign that she and Drew will also feature as part of their wedding day decor from The Shaded Maple. But their main focus of this shoot was, with out a doubt, the ice cream cart from Rustic Drift. We grabbed the two of them vanilla cones with rainbow sprinkles. And they had so much fun posing and eating while also trying to control the dripping and melting. After the ice cream photos, Jocelyn took a few minutes to photograph the engagement ring and some of the fun details gathered for the shoot. While she did this, Ashley and Drew cleaned up and changed their cloths to go for a quick walk on the beach with Hachi. There they had some of the most amazing colors and lighting!
