Eloping on Long Beach Island (LBI)

For some couples out there the idea of eloping on Long Beach Island is pure wedded perfection. Go ahead, and imagine a nice beach wedding, just a few guests (if any) and all of the money you will save! These are just a few of eloping’s attractions. I don’t think I’ve ever met a bride who didn’t, at some point, during their planning process, consider (even if only briefly) the thought of eloping. Long Beach Island, NJ (LBI) is a great place to elope. So, if you haven’t considered eloping on Long Beach Island, you might wanna! Elopements can be so fun and exciting. If you’re serious about it, there are some really beautiful places in LBI to elope.

I believe many of these venues are perfect options for eloping on Long Beach Island, or even for celebrating a small-scale wedding, a vow renewal, or a special anniversary. Some of these locations are ideal for your ceremony, while others offer a full elopement package. If you choose to get married at the lighthouse or the beach, you can always follow it up with dinner at one of the Island’s great restaurants or, my new favorite option: a pop-up reception! Imagine: glam-camping!!!

So, if you’re thinking of eloping on Long Beach Island, I’ve collected for you a list of some of the best places to have a beautiful elopement.

Barnegat Light House 

Getting married at the lighthouse (sorry, but you can’t get married in the lighthouse) requires a special permit and 30-days notice. Call the park at (609) 494-2016.

The Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast

The Sand Castle Bed and Breakfast is one of LBI’s cutest B&Bs. You can contact them at (609) 494-6555. Check out their beautiful roof-top elopement package here! It is amazing! Located in Barnegat Light, the Sand Castle Bed & Breakfast is in one of LBI’s quieter towns.

The Island Guest House Bed & Breakfast, Beach Haven

The Island Guest House Bed & Breakfast can host up to 175 guests outdoors, and for more intimate affairs, up to 60 guests indoors. It’s perfect for eloping or for a small wedding.

Williams Cottage Inn, Beach Haven

The Williams Cottage Inn is another Beach Haven B&B perfect for elopements. Give them a call at (609) 492-7272.

The Wed & Bed

You can always plan your elopement ceremony at the Beach!!!

There are a bunch of beaches perfect for eloping on Long Beach Island. You have a many options facing both the ocean and the Barnegat Bay, just make sure it’s public, like the beach at the lighthouse or in Beach Haven and that you have got the proper permits. Permits must be obtained from the municipality where the beach is located. And if I were you, I would utilize a rental company to provide décor. Just because you’re eloping, doesn’t mean you should feel like you’re getting married. Check out Rustic Drift for amazing beach-friendly rentals for ceremony and a rustic outdoor, beach front reception/gathering. Wanderland Pop, located in Asbury Park, NJ up has amazingly funky rentals, and even glamour camping tents. While you can’t camp on LBI, you can rent seating areas and have beautiful funky options for renting tables, chairs, dishes, etc.
