If you are looking to have a smaller wedding (fewer than 100 guests) on Long Beach Island, you should consider a 101 Centre Street Wedding. 101 Centre Street (yes, spelled the British way with an “re”) is a gorgeous 3-story historical Victorian-era inn located in the heart of Beach Haven’s historic district. It is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places to get married on LBI. It’s beautiful, fully-updated, handicap accessible, with all the modern amenities and comforts. You can rent the home for a two or three night stay, or make it into a full week or two. My favorite is when couples rent, the week prior to host family, and then stay after their wedding for their honeymoon or an extended family vacation. With a full kitchen perfect for catering, and all the modern amenities, 101 Centre Street will allow you to enjoy all the pleasures of Beach Haven, while spending time in a beautiful historic landmark that feels just like home-away-from home. The home includes a full commercial kitchen, central air conditioning, Apple TV, free wireless, Rokus on every TV, a sound system, and enough room to sleep 18 people.
The best part of the home, is the open property directly adjacent that can be tented. This property, well you have to see it to believe it. It is stunningly landscaped, full of lush blooms, trees, and greenery that make the most stunning backdrop to your event. The property can be tented, and (so long as the weather holds up) you leave the tent walls up, and it’s simply gorgeous.
I can’t tell you how often I receive inquires from couples who would like to rent a home on LBI to use as their wedding venue. But here’s the long and the short of it; renting homes for a wedding is extremely difficult, on LBI or anywhere at the Jersey Shore. This changes if you know the homeowner (or, if you are the homeowner.) Even then, it’s best to check with the township in which you’d like to get married. As a general rule, most of the LBI (and the Jersey Shore, for that matter) townships do not allow homes to be rented for weddings for several reasons: zoning, sanitation, the small municipalities can not handle the additional 100-200 people, and parking, etc.
Located just 1/2 a block from the ocean, in historic Beach Haven, a 101 Centre Street wedding is a highly sought after wedding venue. If it’s what you want, you are going to want to book it quickly, because they are limited to four tent permits per year.

If you’re obsessed with 101 Centre Street but it isn’t available for your perfect date, you might also want to look into the Williams Cottage Inn.
