Every now and again I like to share some of my favorite vendors on the BWE blog. And this week I wanted to introduce you to LBI Florist, Katie Hood from Reynolds Garden Shop. Reynolds Garden Shop is somewhat of an experience. No joke. When I first moved “down the shore” I was on the hunt for some unique decor and backyard items. I was in casual conversation with a friend of my daughter’s and she pointed me to Reynolds saying something to the effect of “if I couldn’t find it there, then it does not exist.” And ya’ know what? She was right. I love to garden. Planting, digging, growing things, these are some of my favorite things. And wandering around Reynolds Garden Shops and boutiques is one of those times where you better go with some time on your hands. You never know what you will discover and “have to have!” There is a village of shops, including a garden center, gift shop full of home décor and seasonal accessories, women’s boutique, baby boutique, gourmet department, and florist. Over the holidays I took my mom there. It’s safe to say she is now officially “Reynolds Obsessed,” too!
As a wedding planner, I have had the privilege of working with Katie Hood, Reynold’s lead florist, a number of times on both weddings and photoshoots. She is simply a dream. Incredibly talented, but also professional and fun to work with. She seems to have an intuitive sense of what brides are looking for and at the end of the day is able to deliver gorgeous event floral deigns that make each and every event unique and reflective of her client’s style. They clearly love what they do and love working locally with the most beautiful of surroundings. In fact, one of the things that always impresses me is their attention to using locally sourced greenery that also cuts down on an event’s environmental impact.
Here’s just a small sampling of the work Reynolds has done. If you want to see more, follow them on Instagram @reynolds or check out their website. For anything from weddings to events, bouquets to flower walls, they can do it and make it look amazing!
