LBI Beach Front Ceremony Locations | Holgate Park

There are many LBI beach front ceremony locations, but one of my absolute favs in in Holgate Park, NJ. There you will find bathrooms (for your guests to make a quick pit stop before the ceremony, and plenty of parking at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. It’s a great location, high on the pretty factor and with great logistics. Once your ceremony is over, it is just a hop-skip-and-a-jump to many of LBI’s southern wedding reception venues, like: The Gables, Parker’s Garage, The Williams Cottage Inn, and Brant Beach Yacht Club.

Another one of my favorite LBI beach front ceremony locations is at the southern end of Long Beach Island. Below Holgate and Beach Haven Inlet is home to the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. I took the liberty of taking some screens shots of the location for you on Google Maps. As you can see, there is a long parking lot at the very southern tip of the island. Drive south until you can’t go any further with your car. Seriously, your guests can’t miss it! There are also public bathrooms and drinking fountains.

This two and one-half mile stretch of beach and marshland is closed to visitors during the summer season to protect the animals and environment. So, if you want a wedding ceremony there between Memorial and Labor Day, you’re out of luck. But don’t beat yourself up over it, because the green heads are out of control during that time period, and there’s just not enough bug spray in the world to get married there during that part of the year. However, many people enjoy the natural surroundings during the late Fall and early Spring.
